Join us for talented cellist Bihn Park’s third appearance at Glencairn Museum! The program will include the Concerto No.2 in D major, I (Allegro Moderato) by Franz Joseph Haydn, Le Grande Tango by Astor Piazzolla, the Cello Sonata in G minor, III (Andante) by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Adagio & Allegro, Op.70 by Robert Schumann and Six Pieces for Violoncello by Roger Sessions.
Bihn Park is a current high school senior and has many accolades to his name: He took lessons with Orlando Cole, made multiple appearances on NPR’s “From the Top”, and has collaborated with “America’s Got Talent” Finalist Josh Page, Grammy-Award winning violinist Joshua Bell and other YoungArts Alumni for President Obama and the First Lady, as well as the 69th United Nations General Assembly.
Pianist Oxana Harlamova graduated from the Academy of Music (Chisinau, Moldova) with a Master of Music in piano performance, and Ph.D in piano accompanying. She is a prize-winner at both the 1986 and 1993 National Competitions. Ms. Harlamova also won the Diploma of Excellence in piano accompanying of the 1998 Juinesse Musicale International (Bucharest, Romania). She has performed at renowned concert halls in New York, Philadelphia, St. Petersburg, Moscow and other North American and European cities. She serves as a faculty pianist for Baldwin School (Bryn Mawr, PA) and appears frequently as a guest artist at the Curtis Institute of Music.
