Viewing Glencairn Museum’s World Nativities exhibition has been an annual holiday tradition for thousands of visitors since 2009. Continue the tradition by joining us November 12–13 in New Haven, Connecticut, to see Christmas in the Castle, an exhibition of almost 50 Nativities from the Glencairn collection at the Blessed Father McGivney Pilgrimage Center.

Saturday morning, travel by deluxe motorcoach with Museum staff, members, and friends to Hartford, Connecticut, to visit the Wadsworth Atheneum—the first public art museum in the United States—and take a private, guided Highlights Tour.

Saturday night, stay at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale, with dinner choices located within steps of the hotel.

Sunday morning, visit Christmas in the Castle at the Blessed Father McGivney Pilgrimage Center, where almost 50 Nativities from the Glencairn collection will be on exhibit in an immersive environment inspired by the architecture of Glencairn’s Great Hall (including large replicas of six stained-glass windows). Glencairn Museum’s World Nativities exhibition curators will be on hand to answer questions. An exhibition in another gallery, Crèches of the World, features Nativities from the Pilgrimage Center’s own collection, including examples varying in size from a tiny one in a walnut shell to a Neapolitan Presepio with more than 100 large figures.

The registration fee includes deluxe motorcoach travel to Hartford and New Haven, lunch Saturday and Sunday, admission to the Wadsworth Atheneum (including a guided tour), admission to the Blessed Father McGivney Pilgrimage Center, and a one-night stay at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale. This discounted trip is available to all current Glencairn Museum members and friends who would like to become members.
