Experience religious art in the making: witness demonstrators using metal, glass, sand, stone, eggs, and ink to create beautiful expressions of faith.
This event is one of two annual opportunities to self-guide throughout the building, including all galleries, the primary bedroom, and the Tower. While here, visit the temporary exhibition Easter Eggs: Symbols of Rebirth and Renewal and participate in family-friendly activities.
Artist and craft demonstrations will include:
Islamic Calligraphy with Dr. Feroz Noori
Lithuanian Egg Art with Elaine and Carol Luschas
Metal forging with Warren Holzman and Liz Jackson
Sand mandala completion and dismantling with Losang Samten
Stained glass fabrication with Liz DaCrema
Stone carving with Grayson Zuber
Culinary treats will be provided by King Gyro, a Halal food truck normally located in nearby Northeast Philadelphia, and will be on-site from 1:00–5:00 pm.
Event attendance is not required to purchase food.
