We are back for round two of stained-glass fabrication! Led by instructor Elizabeth DaCrema, this four-week intensive workshop builds on the fundamentals of stained-glass fabrication and invites students to bring their own ideas and designs to life. This workshop is designed for returning students or students with prior stained-glass fabrication experience. Students will be asked to create and share a design cartoon ahead of time and have a short discussion prior to the first class to evaluate their ideas with the instructor.
Other notes:
Please wear closed toe shoes. Participants must follow all safety precautions to avoid serious injury as glass cutting and assembly can be dangerous and physically demanding. We will not be learning glass painting or designing in this workshop.
About the instructor:
Elizabeth DaCrema has been the Stained-Glass instructor for Bryn Athyn College’s Building Arts program since 2020. She graduated from Tyler School of Art in 2016. Since then she has worked as a stained-glass artist at Beyer Studio, Inc., a prominent stained-glass company in the Philadelphia area specializing in large-scale fabrication and restoration of stained-glass windows. There, DaCrema has been involved in many important projects, such as the restoration of windows from Catholic University and Valley Forge’s Washington Memorial Chapel. Her specialty is classical Bavarian-style glass painting from traditional studios of 20th-century Munich and Philadelphia.
